It’s important that all educators strive to provide an early education program that is conducive to the needs and levels of the children within their class.  This three-hour course looks at the meaning behind developmentally appropriate practice and how to provide a classroom that is developmentally appropriate for the children.  We look at each developmental age level, how developmentally appropriate practices originated, how to provide appropriate decision-making, create a caring and equitable community of learners within the classroom, and explain the difference between a DAP classroom and one that is not.  We also look into how observation and assessment is key within DAP and how to plan and teach for this environment.
