2. Website Use

You agree to use this website for lawful, professional, and appropriate purposes only. You may not:

  • Violate any law or regulation
  • Interfere with the website’s operation or security
  • Attempt to access another user’s account
  • Share your login information with another person
  • Copy, distribute, or misuse course materials
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Engage in rude, threatening, or disruptive behavior

Early Child Training Center may suspend or terminate access if these policies are violated.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for providing accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account. Accounts are for individual use only — you may not share your username, password, course access, or membership benefits with any other person or organization. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Governing Law

These policies are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. By using our services, you agree that any disputes will be resolved under Kentucky law.

5. Training Services

Early Child Training Center offers online courses, professional development trainings, memberships, CPR/First Aid training, Orientation training, CDA-related training, and other early childhood education opportunities. All trainings are Kentucky-approved unless otherwise stated.

Participants outside of Kentucky are responsible for confirming with their own state, employer, licensing agency, or registry whether a course will meet their requirements. Participants must confirm a course meets their needs before registering.

6. Participant Eligibility and Conduct

Participants must be 18 years of age or older to register for courses or create an account.

Participants are expected to behave professionally and respectfully in all interactions. Early Child Training Center may remove, suspend, or restrict a participant for:

  • Rude, threatening, harassing, or disrespectful behavior
  • Cheating or dishonest completion of coursework
  • Sharing login information or allowing another person to train under your account
  • Nonpayment or failed payment
  • Misuse or distribution of course materials
  • False or misleading registration information
  • Any other violation of these policies

If a participant is removed for misconduct or policy violation, payment may be forfeited and no refund is guaranteed.

7. Registration and Payment

Payment is due at the time of registration unless otherwise approved by Early Child Training Center. Registration is not complete until payment is received and processed.

Payments are processed by credit card through Braintree or another approved payment processor. Early Child Training Center does not store full credit card information on its website.

If a payment fails, is declined, reversed, or disputed, Early Child Training Center may suspend access to courses, memberships, or certificates until the issue is resolved.

8. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Online Course Refunds

A refund may be issued if a participant has paid for a course but has not yet started it. Once a participant accesses any course content, the course is considered started and is no longer eligible for a refund.

Refund requests are reviewed by Early Child Training Center and are not guaranteed.

Membership Refunds

Membership payments are non-refundable, including monthly, annual, and renewal payments. If a membership is canceled, access continues through the end of the current billing period and future payments will stop.

Incorrect Information

Refunds are not guaranteed when a participant provides incorrect information, registers for the wrong course, or fails to confirm that a course meets their requirements.

How to Request a Refund or Reschedule

Submit requests through the website contact form or by email. Include:

  • Participant name and email address
  • Course or membership name
  • Date of registration or class date
  • Reason for the request

Early Child Training Center will respond on the same business day or within 24 business hours. Weekend responses are not guaranteed.

9. Membership and Subscription Policy

  • Bronze Membership: $49.99 per person
  • Gold Membership: $59.99 per person
  • Platinum Membership: $79.99 per person

Term, Billing, and Renewal

Memberships run on a July 1 – June 30 membership year unless otherwise arranged. Members may choose monthly automatic payments or an annual payment. Memberships renew automatically unless canceled.

If a payment fails, Early Child Training Center may suspend membership access until the payment is resolved. Memberships are not transferable without written approval.

Membership Suspension or Termination

Early Child Training Center may suspend or terminate a membership for account sharing, nonpayment, misconduct, cheating, misuse of materials, or any other policy violation. Payment may be forfeited, and no refund is guaranteed.

10. Online Course Access

Online courses may be purchased individually or accessed through an active membership. Members receive access to eligible courses while their membership is active and in good standing.

Each course account is for the registered participant only. Users may not share login information, allow another person to complete training under their account, or distribute course materials without written permission.

11. Course Completion and Certificates

For online courses, participants must complete all required components (videos, lessons, quizzes, assessments, etc.) before receiving a certificate. Certificates may be downloaded and re-downloaded from the course system.

For in-person or live trainings, participants must attend the full training. Participants who arrive more than 10 minutes late, leave early, or do not complete required participation may not receive a certificate and may not be eligible for a refund.

Early Child Training Center may withhold a certificate if a participant does not complete required work, provides false information, or otherwise violates these policies.

12. Live Class Cancellation and Rescheduling

Participants must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a live or in-person class.

Requests made with less than 48 hours’ notice may not be eligible for rescheduling, credit, or refund. Participants who do not attend and do not provide proper notice may forfeit payment.

If Early Child Training Center cancels or reschedules a live class, participants will be notified using the contact information provided during registration.

13. Kentucky Training Reporting

Early Child Training Center reports Kentucky-approved training completion to ECE-TRIS as applicable. Participants are responsible for providing accurate information required for reporting, including name, contact information, employer or center information, date of birth, and the last four digits of their Social Security number.

Early Child Training Center is not responsible for reporting errors caused by incorrect or incomplete participant information.

14. CPR / First Aid Training

CPR/First Aid training is provided through ASHI. Participants must attend the required in-person session and demonstrate required skills. CPR/First Aid cards or certificates are issued through ASHI.

Participants are responsible for confirming that ASHI certification meets their employer or licensing requirements before registering.

15. Intellectual Property

All course materials, videos, handouts, website content, graphics, and other resources are owned by or licensed to Early Child Training Center. Participants may use materials for personal professional development only. Copying, selling, sharing, or distributing materials without written permission is not allowed.

16. Record Retention

Early Child Training Center retains records for as long as reasonably necessary for business, training, reporting, certificate verification, accounting, and compliance purposes.

Training and certificate records may be retained beyond the date of course completion. Inactive accounts (no activity for 24 months, no active membership, and undeliverable email) may be archived or removed. Business records may be retained even after an account is deactivated.

When records are no longer needed, Early Child Training Center will delete, archive, or securely dispose of them.

17. Communication Policy

Early Child Training Center may contact participants by email, phone, or text regarding registrations, payments, memberships, course access, certificates, and related matters. Marketing emails may also be sent; participants may opt out when an unsubscribe option is provided. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary business communications.

18. Website Availability

Early Child Training Center makes reasonable efforts to keep the website and courses available. Access may occasionally be interrupted due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

19. Disclaimer

Information provided through the website, courses, or communications is for educational purposes only. Early Child Training Center does not provide legal, medical, financial, employment, tax, licensing, or regulatory advice. Participants are responsible for consulting the appropriate professional or authority for advice specific to their situation.

20. Limitation of Responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Early Child Training Center is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages related to use of the website, courses, memberships, or services. Early Child Training Center’s responsibility for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the participant for the specific course, membership, or service involved.

21. Policy Updates

Early Child Training Center may update these policies at any time. Updated policies will be posted on the website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the website or services after updates are posted means you accept the updated policies.

22. Contact

Questions about these Policies and Terms may be submitted through the Early Child Training Center website contact form or by email using the contact information provided on the website.
