Module 6: Promoting Peer Interactions. Infant-Toddler Training Series

In Module 6: Promoting Positive Peer Interactions, we will talk about strategies for promoting positive peer interactions, how these interactions can be used to help build friendship skills, and why this is important to social-emotional development. We will learn about specific behaviors that young children engage in which are directly related to having friends, and how you can create opportunities throughout your daily routines for children to practice and develop these behaviors. In this course, you will gain knowledge on how to facilitate positive peer interactions and support the development of social and friendship skills, learn about the developmental stages of social and play skills, and apply that knowledge to classroom practices.
