Description

This six-hour online course meets the orientation criteria for early care and education professionals in Kentucky. By finishing this course, participants fulfill the Division of Child Care’s (DCC) new regulatory mandate to ensure that all center staff are trained in first aid and CPR.The orientation training comprises three modules:
  1. Health, Safety & Sanitation – 2 hours
  2. Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect – 1 hour
  3. Recommended Practices in Early Care and Education – 3 hours
Students should have access to a printer for supplementary handouts and reference materials.All activities across the three modules must be completed to obtain a certificate. Activities, excluding non-graded ones relating to personal experiences or work environment, must be completed with an accuracy rate of at least 80%. Participants can redo activities until they achieve the required accuracy.
