Valuing Diversity in the Early Childhood Classroom

This two–hour course is designed to help early childhood educators create classrooms where every child and family feels welcomed, valued, and respected.

Throughout this course, we’ll look at how a child’s culture, family, experiences, and identity help shape who they are and how they see the world around them. We’ll also talk about the important role educators play in helping children feel confident in who they are while learning to respect and appreciate others.

You’ll explore practical ways to make your classroom more inclusive and representative, build stronger relationships with families, and take a closer look at your own beliefs and teaching practices. The goal isn’t to have all the answers. It’s to become more aware, more intentional, and better prepared to make sure every child feels like they belong.
